Martin Luther King JNR re-enacted at Evans Children’s Day
The life and times of the legend Martin Luther King was re-enacted at the Evans Children’s Day during the Nigerian International Book Fair held recently at the Unilag Hall B, Lagos. The event was out to expose children to literary appreciation. With the live performance of the book ‘Tell Me About Martin Luther King’ and ‘The Elephant and the Lion’ which are two of the collections of readers for primary school published by Evans Publishers, the day turned out to be an exciting and highly educative day for children invited for the event.

Both books which where performed by the Storyteller, a theatrical group reflected the literary depth Evans readers possess. The story of Luther king was presented in a dramatic fashion that gave the children a vivid picture of the man, Martin Luther King; his values and beliefs. The book, ‘The Elephant and the Lion’, which reflects the theme of love, friendship, peace, unity, honesty and hard-work was also performed by the story teller.

The Storyteller after the story telling session, asked the children questions on the two stories presented and those who were able to answer correctly went away with copies of the books preformed.
